Join us at the next author’s night to welcome local author Linda Heuring. She recently moved to McCormick and will be sharing her collection of short stories titled, “A Woman Walked into the Bar”. In addition to her character-driven short stories, Heuring has published hundreds of articles, essays and features over her career as a journalist and freelance writer.

The author’s presentation will start at 6 pm in the library meeting room and be followed by a book signing and light refreshments. Everyone is welcome.

From American Book Review:

In the wide-ranging subject matter of this collection, Heuring’s characters, most of them women of a certain age, struggle with the decisions they’ve made along the ways of their lives. Heuring’s book is filled with fascinating characters and a writing style much like many of its characters—strong and resolute, not flashy, but quietly excellent, depicting with equal ease passion and spousal warfare, whether in stories of murder mystery or a young girl’s coming of age .”
