Professional storyteller Tim Lowry makes his annual trek to McCormick S.C. on July 23rd to share stories from his colorful life as a Southern Showman, including this year an almost-too-unbelievable-to-be-true story about accidentally setting a goat on fire.
He tells hilarious stories about family trips to Disney World, tour guiding in historic Charleston, SC, suffering the indignities of back surgery, killing watermelons, and people watching at the local Waffle House.
Whether you were born and raised in Dixie or you are just curious about eccentric Southerners, Tim tells relatable tales that touch the heart and tickle the funny bone.
The show begins at 6 pm. Admission is free – first come, first seated. This performance is aimed at adults, but the stories are family-friendly, and ages 12 and up are welcome to attend.
Tim will have his new book, Southern Fried Circus, for sale and signing at the event.
About Storyteller Tim Lowry:
Tim’s repertoire is broad, but decidedly Southern. Since 2000 he has made his living as a professional storyteller. He travels across the USA presenting personal narratives, historical stories, folk tales, poems, literary classics, the occasional ghost legend, and a few Bible stories. One audience member recently described his work as “a Southern Fried Circus, because you never know what’s going to jump out of that clown car next!”
