On Thursday, October 1st at 6:30 pm at the McCormick County Library, local author Ed Devos will discuss his new book, Revenge At King’s Mountain. The historical novel is set during the pivotal American Revolutionary War battle that took place near Blacksburg, SC. The battle was the first major Patriot victory to occur after the British invasion of Charleston in May 1780. According to Devos, “this is a story of our forefather’s courage and valor, honor and integrity. It is a story of our history. It is a story about those who sacrificed so much so that we can enjoy the freedoms we have today.” Devos is a retired military officer, military historian and Bible teacher. He has published two previous novels, The Stain and The Chaplain’s Cross. All of his book are available for purchase at Books On Main in downtown McCormick. The library presentation will be followed by a book signing and reception with light refreshments.
