All are welcome, and children especially, to enjoy the new community playground at the library on Saturday June 9th at 10 am when we will hold a short grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony. Half of the playground equipment is installed, and it is designed for children between the ages of 2 and 7 years old. Free ice cream will be served to all children in attendance, compliments of Bill West and State Farm Insurance. The library will be open, and it will be a great time to check out books or sign up your child for the summer reading program. The library would like to thank everyone who has contributed to this project so far. Fundraising continues for the completion of the playground with equipment for children between the ages of 7 and 12 years old. If you haven’t contributed yet, please consider a donation. Let us set an example for our children and grandchildren of what can be done when we work together for a common good.
