On Thursday, May 16th at 6:30 pm, SLV resident Jo Graziano will present the history of sign language and share some of her experiences teaching the deaf and hearing impaired in both public and private residential schools.
Jo has been working with the deaf and hearing impaired since obtaining her Master’s Degree from the University of Pittsburgh, PA in 1970. Jo is currently employed as a Hearing Impaired Teacher Consultant for McCormick public schools. She and her husband, Gene, have lived in SLV since her retirement from Detroit Michigan Public Schools in 2005.
